MOBILE METH LAB IN A BAG
FOUND ON LITTLEVILLE ROAD
Don and Violette Defoor were walking down Littleville (Ray Farm) Road Monday afternoon at 4:15 p.m. when they noticed a plastic bag that looked suspicious. Haleyville police investigator, Tim Steien checked out their report and found four 20 oz soft drink bottles with chemicals that appeared to be a meth lab. Two of the bottles already had the bottom blown out with two still working. A hazardous material team from Birmingham was called and shortly after 10 p.m. had the chemicals removed. This is the second mobile meth lab found this year on the side of Littleville Road. On June 12, a cardboard box with a working meth lab was discovered by Dwight Creel. (See Story: CLICK HERE ). The meth lab found Monday was a couple of blocks north of 30th Street. Haleyville police are investigating.
